“Cyclops” pup born with one eye, two tongues and no nose
Regrettably, the cub could not survive for more than a day. He was born in the Aklan district of the country on February 6 along with another who seemed completely normal. Other than his one distinctive eye, since he had no nose, he couldn’t get milk from his mother.
The cub received the nickname ‘Cyclops’
The owner, local resident Amie de Martin, said they fed him puppy formula and took him to an eterinary in the hope that the little dog, nicknamed ‘Cyclops’, would know. However, it did not last until the next day and he died around 10 p.m. that night because he couldn’t breathe properly.
Regrettably, the pup did not last the day.
Pet Loʋeг said the mother dog may have eaten toxins while pregnant, which caused the pup’s condition. Amie said: ‘The group said that Cyclops’s mother proƄaƄlemente ate something toxic. But Cyclops’s mother is a menopausal pup, so that could have been another reason. ‘Cyclops could not ƄeƄer milk from him. We had to feed him with an eyedropper and powdered milk.’
Instead of burying the dead puppy in the garden, Amie decided to place it in a glass box to remember the special dog. The cub was believed to have a disease called Cyclopia, which affects mammals and other animals. It can be caused by a genetic defect or toxins that affect brain development.
