There have been many theories pointing out that we may have had giant ancestors in ancient times. The internet has been roaming with photos of such ancient skulls and bones, many discovered to have been altered. This is another photo that is mistaken to be believed that it is the skull of an ancient giant human that once roamed Earth.
I am not here to support, nor neglect this theory of giant ancestors, but people are deceived by the beliefs of others. Some think that this is simply some sort of conspiracy theory, but the American Museum of Natural History has a whole exhibition of possible Greek Giants that have once roamed the Earth.

There were many studies, even recent ones that looked at the possibility of ancient giant ancestors. Many of the studies actually support this theory, stating that some of the skulls and other bones discovered, represented in such images are of giant ancestors. Such studies have even been portrayed by Forbes.
The image that you are seeing above is actually of a Blue Whale and it has been estimated to be from the 17th or 18th century. Due to the large size of Blue Whales, people can easily mistake these bones for the ones of dinosaurs, zzz. or in some particular cases, ancient giants. It is usually different social media groups that start these internet hoaxes and many people that are not aware easily start to believe such things.

Joey Williams from the Smithsonian Marine Collection shows a very similar skull, similar because it is also the skull of a Blue Whale and not as believed, an ancient giant. The skull itself would not make sense to be of a humanoid form as it does not have the characteristics of ancient humans, even pre-historic Neanderthals.
As mentioned before, everyone should be their own judgment when it comes to such theories, however, please be aware of the facts behind images that are used as evidence for such theories. We don’t know if there were giants during ancient times, but that does not mean we should not consider it as a possibility. However, be aware of the difference between an “ancient skull” and the one of a Whale.
